Open Day
Seren Fach held it's first Open Day on the 15th October 2005. I think it is fair to say that we were overwhelmed by the response! The consensus of opinion amounst the visiting parents and children was that a nursery of the quality of Seren Fach enjoying such an idyllic parkland setting, away from busy main roads and pollution, was long overdue in the area.
Many of the parents commented that the majority of other nurseries failed to see the bigger picture, not understanding the vital importance of continuity of childcare. Many felt that they were left "high & dry", by them being unable or unwilling to match the comprehensive range of facilities (Nursery, Breakfast Club, Afterschool Club, Holiday Club, Wrap-around Care) that is available at Seren Fach.

"The new purpose built nursery, Seren Fach, has opened. Those of us who attended the open day were most impressed. It has a delightful ambience, lots of large windows letting in the light, play areas so well furnished with every imaginable facility, bright colours and peaceful warmth. Visiting parents had difficulty persuading their children to leave, they wanted to stay longer. The nursery is a great asset to the area and much interest was shown by young parents. There was a continuos stream of visitors on the open day many asking if the nursery children could eventually attend the primary school next door. This, of course, is up to the secretary for education at the Welsh Assembly"
